Donga Carpet
Hand knotted natural grey wool carpet. In certain areas of the Plateau, soil erosion shaped by the running of melting glaciers forms imposing sculptures that characterize a place.
This carpet is inspired by the random outlines of donga sculpted soil. It is knotted from three natural shades of wool playing on the light wool of sheep and the darker tones of yak khullu. It takes a single artisan up to 60 days to spin and create this carpet.
